Terms of Service
Gaussian Kamil School · Last updated 20 September 2026
This app is a way for Gaussian Kamil School and the families in its care to talk about one thing: how a child's day went. Using it means agreeing to keep your account to yourself, to keep other people's children out of anything you share elsewhere, and to raise anything urgent by phone rather than here.
Anything in square brackets is still for the school to fill in, and this wording has not been through a lawyer. Both are needed before the app opens to real families.
Who these terms are between
They are between Gaussian Kamil School, at [school address], and the person signing in. By signing in you accept them. If you do not accept them, tell the school office and your account will be closed.
Accounts
- Accounts are issued by the school. Nobody can register themselves, and there is no way to create one from outside.
- An account belongs to one adult. Parents who each want their own access should each ask for one rather than sharing.
- You choose your own password from a link the school sends you. Nobody at the school ever sees it.
- Keep it to yourself. Anything written from your account is treated as written by you.
- If you think somebody else has your password, change it in My account, which signs out every other device, and tell the school.
This app is not for emergencies
Nobody is watching this app at all hours. A teacher may not read a comment until the next school day, and a report may be written hours after the thing it describes. Anything urgent about a child's safety, health or whereabouts goes to the school by phone, on [school phone number], and not through a comment here.
What teachers write
- A daily report is one teacher's account of one child's day. It is written quickly, between lessons, and is meant to give a family a sense of the day rather than to be a formal record.
- A teacher may correct a report after sending it. When they do, the change is shown in the report's history, with what changed and when, so nothing is quietly rewritten.
- If something in a report seems wrong, say so in a comment or to the school office, and it can be corrected.
Photographs
- Photographs in a report are for that child's family to look at.
- Do not republish them: not on social media, not in a group chat, not anywhere outside this app. A photograph of your child often has somebody else's child in it, and those families have not agreed to that.
- Tell the school if you do not want your child photographed at all, and teachers will write without photos.
Comments
- Comments are for talking to your child's teacher about your child.
- Write them as you would speak to somebody in front of your child. Abuse, threats and anything about another family's child do not belong here.
- The school may remove a comment and, if it keeps happening, close an account. Nothing is deleted silently: you will be told.
What the school does not promise
The school runs this app as well as it reasonably can, but it is not promised to be available at all times. It can be down for maintenance, for a problem at the hosting provider, or for a network failure nobody here controls. Nothing in the app replaces the school's own records, which remain the authoritative ones.
When access ends
- When a child leaves the school, their family's access ends. What happens to the record afterwards is set out in the Privacy Policy.
- When a member of staff leaves, their account is turned off. What they wrote stays, because it is part of a child's record.
- The school may turn off an account at any time for a breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
The school may change these terms. If a change matters to families, it is announced in the app and by email before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Carrying on using the app after that means accepting the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Anything that cannot be settled by talking to the school office is resolved at [jurisdiction].
Asking about any of this
Write to [contact email] or ask at the school office. The Privacy Policy sets out separately what is recorded about your child and what you can ask the school to do with it.
